LIP BLUSHING
HEALING PROCESS
Expect the lip color to appear very intense and possibly experience some swelling/bruising.
Lips may feel sore, tender, and appear very bright or dark.
Swelling may persist; lips might feel unusually dry and chapped.
Keep applying the Iwama Balm frequently to keep them hydrated.
The intensity of the lip color will start to fade significantly, up to 50-70%, during the first week.
The top layer of skin may look opaque, concealing some of the colors underneath.
This outer layer of the skin will typically heal within 5 to 7 days.
Be aware that the color seen immediately post-treatment will lighten considerably. Some color may reemerge a few weeks after the top layer of skin regenerates.
For lighter shades, a touch-up can be performed after 5 to 6 weeks. For more vibrant tones, one or two additional touch-ups might be recommended, always considering the healing progress of the lip tissue.
It’s crucial not to over-treat the lips and to allow for healing between sessions to achieve the desired color saturation.
