LASH LINE
DERMOPIGMENTATION
Dermopigmentation between eyelashes enhances the eyes in a sophisticated way due to how delicate the line is, which, being carried out close to the lash line, keeps the natural look of the face.
The procedure is done with the help of the Iwama Machine, the lightest and softest dermis coloring device on the worldwide market. Different levels of thickness can be applied, including a slight slope at the end of the line, resulting in the famous “kitten” style that many people love.
We can do it on both the upper and lower eyelids, everything depends on the desired effect but we highly recommend just to to the upper eyelid.
The eyelid skin is one of the most fragile we have, my technique created for sensitive skin, the Iwama Sensitive, brings beautiful results with minimal trauma to the area.
It is carried out superficially, in a light and smooth way, so that the ink / pigment settles on the skin causing little discomfort and almost no bleeding.
The Iwama Sensitive Technique was created by established cosmetic tattoo artist and owner of Iwama Clinics in Boca, Raton, FL, Priscila Iwama. Over the past few decades, the way Priscila works with ink and skin has become more and more unique and personalized. Focused on the well-being and health of her clients, her journey birthed the Iwama Sensitive Technique; permanent makeup applied in a delicate manner, stimulating collagen production and protecting the current and future integrity of your skin--not to mention, superior realistic results.
Priscila's technique focuses on precisely depositing small amounts of ink in the ideal depth of the papillary dermis (first dermis layer of the skin). This increases the color's longevity and results in a shorter, more comfortable, and practically bleed-free procedure.
The Iwama Sensitive Technique, combined with the best brands of ink pigment on the market, organic and inorganic, ensures that the area remains in the healed tone and guarantees a uniform fade of the color over time.
Lash line enhancement is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique that makes lashes appear more voluminous and eyes more enhanced. Soft black or brown pigment is implanted just below the epidermis (the most shallow part of the dermis). Little by little, using a mechanical needle, a series of dots take place in the spaces between lashes, and a subtle thin line is added to the top lashes. Thanks to recent advancements in technology Priscila Iwama developed her own machine, that is the lightest and softest in the market, The Iwama Machine.

Important Note: in the United States, from the Health Department’s standpoint, all cosmetic tattoo treatments are considered ‘permanent.’
A lash line tattoo can help eliminate daily eyeliner application, touching up smudges at the gym, beach, pool, or work, and allow you to not worry about makeup streaming down your face-- all while making your lash line appear thicker and darker. A fuller lash line gives you a more defined eye shape and gives you a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
A lot of care goes into creating the perfect line and shape. For some clients, the goal is to not have to apply daily eyeliner and to attain a “kitten look,” while for others it's to have a bolder effect. Our goal is to enhance your lash line and eyes while staying true to your natural features. Focus is on creating a soft ‘line’ that is capable of accenting your eyes, making them appear brighter, more expressive, sexy, and youthful. You can feel comfortable knowing you are involved in the entire process, from measurements to discussing preferences, observing changes as they materialize.
While creating the perfect enhancement, we also apply visagism principles. These techniques aim to bring harmony to your facial features while enhancing your beauty and staying true to your identity. Other factors such as your lifestyle, personality, facial treatment routine, use of rejuvenating creams, and tonality of your skin are also taken into consideration.
To help reduce discomfort, we apply an anesthetic cream before the procedure, which typically lasts from 60 to 90 minutes. Since the Iwama Technique is very delicate, clients tend to have low amounts of swelling and redness in the area and quality results can be seen shortly after the procedure.
Pro Tip: An ethical and caring professional will stay true to your natural features, eye shape, and make the procedure as painless as possible.
Healing occurs gradually and smoothly. The morning after the procedure, minimal swelling of the eyelids becomes noticeable, reducing over the next 48 hours. Healing does NOT include pain, itching, scabs.
In the first 3 to 5 days, we observe a more vivid and intense color, fading and softening after this period. These changes are due to a significant increase in collagen and elastin production in the area. Within days, you will be able to see the final color.
The outer layer of the skin heals within 5 to 7 days. The inner layers of the skin take longer, sometimes up to 45 days or more depending on the client's age and metabolism, however healing is not externally visible. To know more about the healing process click here!

On average, lash line micropigmentation lasts from 12 to 24 months. Variables that affect longevity include your skin type, metabolism, lifestyle/skin habits and personal perception. Since the skin in this area is much more delicate and susceptible to rubbing or scratching during the day, aftercare guidelines must be followed strictly, in order to guarantee the durability of the procedure.
The following touch-up must be done after the initial 45-day healing period has passed, to achieve
your desired look.
To further extend your lash line pigmentation’s longevity, we use the best and most advanced products and equipment. Aftercare instructions must be followed to achieve maximum results. See aftercare instructions here!
Be advised that, with any form of tattooing, there are risks of infection or allergic reactions. Overall, a lash line tattoo is much less invasive than a traditional tattoo and has no downtime. Most side effects of eyelid micropigmentation, such as minor swelling immediately after the procedure, are mild. We almost always avoid severe reactions due to the delicate nature and application of the Iwama Sensitive Technique and our operational and safety standards.
As much as lip blushing is a safe and effective technique, it is not recommended for:
• Expectant mothers
• Women who are breastfeeding
• People with uncontrolled diabetes Important
Important Note: If you have any questions we recommend seeing your doctor to make sure that
the procedure can be performed safely.
At Iwama Clinics, we take your health very seriously and go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s safety.
