It is beautiful to realize how people have been valuing their unique way of being, rescuing their self-esteem by their choices and not the standards that have been set by society. Beauty is one of these features, and vitiligo, an autoimmune disease that affects the pigmentation of the skin, is part of this process. For some people, the rare spots are a reason for pride, and for others, the disease is a challenge.
Since one of the factors that trigger the vitiligo is the emotional condition, dermopigmentation has been even more recommended for those who feel better decreasing the difference of the despigmented skin tone. The rescue of the well-being and confidence is achieved naturally.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), vitiligo affects more than 150 million people across the world. The gradual loss of the pigment of the skin is associated with the decrease or loss of melanocytes, responsible for the making of the melanin in the affected region.
The Iwama Sensitive Technique is a method I developed for sensitive skin, that maintain the current and future health of the region, working with the tissue in a superficial way. This provides the healing to be calmer, and consequently, a better absorption of the pigment.
There is practically no pain or bleeding, the procedure is comfortable and quick, depending on the number of places and size of the region.
This method does not require constant retouches after it is finalized, and with an average durability of one to four years. The number of sessions will depend on each organism and the desired result each person would like to achieve.
The difference is immediate, after the first session we can already see significant results. There are people that with only one session are already satisfied with the harmony of the shades reached.
I utilize organic pigments that are absorbed by the skin, only occurring the common degradation of the color, over time. Since today there is a range of colors, we can mix the colors to achieve a nuance of the original skin tone and make the result even more natural.
After the procedure, the routine can be continued, avoiding only physical activities during a period of 72 hours.
To make your appointment, send me a message. First, I will have an abrupt appointment, that can be done presential, or online, in which we will analyze the medical history, anamnesis records and expectancy of the result. Then, we will choose together the colors of the pigments, considering the natural tones of the skin and texture.
Solely when you are completely satisfied and confident, after all the evaluation and choice of the ideal color, we will begin the procedure.
The aftercare instructions will be provided right after the procedure is finalized and I will also hand a printed guide with information, so you can look over if you have any questions.
The intensity of the color will be darker immediately after the procedure and will be maintained for 2 to 3 days, due to the phagocytosis process of the body. This will decrease and soften after a light peeling, which can happen between the 4th and 5th day, revealing a color that is at least 50% lighter.
There will be a slight sensibility, swelling and redness on the treated area, which generally disappears after 72 hours. To maintain the quality of the results, we recommend to not rub or prematurely remove the skin that can lightly peel on the first days. The additional care orientations must be followed for an adequate healing and avoid any complications after the procedure.
After the healing process, the tissue will gradually recover and without pain, achieving a complete healing from 30 to 45 days, providing a smoother and more natural appearance.
The retouch sessions, when necessary, can only be done after the complete healing of the tissue. Therefore, we will schedule the retouch respecting this recovery time.
DURABILITY AND TOUCH-UP
The durability of the camouflage vary from person to person, that can last from one to four years. This is because, depending on the result of each organism with factors like, type of skin, age and lifestyle in general,
Normally, two sessions are necessary to obtain a desired result, however, many people that camouflage small regions, already feel comfortable with only one session.
It is recommended a retouch at 18 to 24 months after the initial procedure, to maintain the color with a natural and living aspect.
Even though this technique is safe and effective, the absolute contradictions refer to the Vitiligo in process or unstable.
