Are You Present… or Just Busy?

Updated: May 9

It might seem like a simple question, but it changes everything.

Do you truly feel present in your life?

Or do your days pass on autopilot, as if everything is happening without your genuine

involvement?

It doesn’t matter what stage you’re at—whether you have young children, a busy career, a

predictable routine, or daily challenges—there’s always a chance to wake up.

And waking up doesn’t mean making a radical shift.

It means starting to choose intentionally.

What Are You Consuming When No One’s Watching?

You probably already know that what you read, watch, and listen to shapes your thoughts.

And your thoughts shape your actions.

And your actions create your results.

But… what about your environment?

Have you noticed what’s around you during your daily routine?

The TV left on a random channel.

Music playing words that don’t reflect who you are.

Endless scrolling filled with voices and opinions that don’t enrich you—they just fill space.

What if you started doing things with greater intention?

Want tranquility? Choose music that calms you.

Need energy? Put on something genuinely uplifting.

Pick a movie, a book, or a conversation that goes beyond the surface.

Because when you’re genuinely present, it becomes easier to connect that presence with

intention.

Purposeful Presence Has More Power

Presence is when you’re fully in the moment.

Intention is understanding why you’re there.

When these two meet, everything changes.

You don’t react automatically.

You don’t fill your day with leftovers.

You begin choosing with alignment.

Aligned with your values, with what you want to experience, with what helps you grow.

Watching Remarkable Women Taught Me This

When I was a beauty assistant around 16 years old, I had the privilege of serving women who left

a lasting impression.

Many were psychologists, others entrepreneurs.

All, without exception, had something in common: even with intense routines, they never stopped seeking.

They read.

Studied.

Showed interest in topics outside their usual scope.

Expanded their soft skills—even before this expression became popular.

In the silence of listening and observing, I learned deeply from them.

Have You Heard About Soft Skills?

Hard skills are technical abilities.

Soft skills are the ones that amplify our human capacity to engage with the world:

• Empathy

• Clear communication

• Active listening

• Decision-making

• Creativity

• The ability to reinvent yourself

And what’s most beautiful:

These skills aren’t just for work. They improve the way we live—with ourselves, with our family,

and with the world.

That’s Why, in the Mastery Program, I Share What Truly Made a Difference in My Journey

In the program, I provide a list of the books that expanded my vision.

Books that awakened me, strengthened me, and prepared me to live more consciously.

It wasn’t the book that changed my life completely.

But it helped me realize that being present is a practice.

And that how we position ourselves—not only to the world but especially to ourselves—can

completely change how life responds to us.

What if I Shared More Books Here?

What if, occasionally, I shared a book, a reflection, or a question that might awaken you too?

Maybe you don’t have much free time.

Maybe you have small children, countless tasks.

But we don’t need a lot of time to start.

We just need intention.

Presence Paperback by Amy Cuddy (Author)

To Wrap Up, Tell Me:

• What type of content inspires you to be better?

• When was the last time something you read, heard, or watched gave you an insight?

• Do you feel present, or just swept up in daily demands?

Maybe now is the time to reconsider.

Or simply to breathe deeply and make a more conscious choice.

If so, I’m here.

With everything that I have, authentically.

Empowering your journey,

Priscila Iwama
